Hi Everyone,

Just when I thought things were going well...

I recently picked up a Princeton Graphics Systems Pro-375 3LCD Video Data Projector at a Church Rummage sale. After researching it, I found out it was made by Toshiba (TLP-410). I thought to myself, great, all it needs is a new bulb ($400).

Well, I plugged it in to test it yesterday and the good news was that it seems that the bulb is working, but the picture is all messed up. It's kind of reddish and greenish and there are fine vertical lines all over the picture. I call a Toshiba repairman who said it might be something wrong with the LCD...I figure this will cost big bucks....probably not worth getting fixed. I'll try to attach a picture of my screen image. Does anyone have an opinion of what might be wrong?

Since I only spent $20 for this projector, does anyone think I could use some of its parts and build a hybrid projector using my LCD panel? I figure I could use the 250W MH bulb that comes with this projector and the Lense assembly with my LCD panel and build something hopefully a little smaller and quieter than my LCD/OHP panel set up. Also something that would run cooler and not burn out bulbs so fast.

What do you all think?

thanks

P.S. I tried to attach a picture but apparently it's too big. I'll try to post it on a website and provide a link.

I can't see the picture because I'm sitting here at work reading the forums (I know, naughty me, but there's no one even here today within 5 cubes of me in any direction) and our notwork has angelfire blocked. Don't ask me why. I don't have any idea.

Well, I have an idea, but I'm really not 8 years old, even if 'big brother' wants to think it.
