Just bought an interesting panel with laptop !? - Click HERE for Original Thread
HouseMachine
I bought today a laptop, but this thing is not an usual laptop. Its lcd screen is removable ( yes : ) Also backlit unit is removable ! It is designed for overhead display. It also has a lengthening cable.
I removed the lcd unit and I made a crappy box.

And I tried with 200 watt halogen + fresnel and stupid glass magnifier. Result were disgraceful. Actually with quality lens and 250 watt (or more) halogen lamp I could get very nice results
because of transparency of lcd panel. Yes this panel is extremely permeable. BUT I don' t have money and desire...

Lcd panel specs; 800x600 native @ 85 hz , 16.7 mil. colors ( simulated ) 12.1" active matrix ( response time is quite good but not fast...) , 250:1 contrast ratio (?) and two DEAD pixels :)

I know its specs are so poor, it is an ancient item but it can be used with ZV* -zoom video- card. ( *bypassing system bus with another video input )

PS: Are you wondering model and price :=) I bought it for 300$ , not cheap but very useful. And product links;
