I'm new at this, so here goes... I own an Ampeg SVT bass amp and I want to use some or all of the tubes from it when it gets re-tubed. I'll end up with six-6550's three-12ax7's and two-12au7's that I know will just sit around if I dont use them. I'm on a loose budget of around $1200.ooUS. I have basic soldering skills, learn fast and can get more professional level help if needed. The speakers I will be running are as yet to be determined, probably above 90dB. I'm mainly looking for a kit, but any recommendations would be much appreciated.-KP
PS: I also have access to many a set of matched pairs of used EL34's and some ECC83 preamp tubes from my friends marshall guitar amps as well, so that could be another avenue to explore for me. |
