Does anyone here have a Counterpoint SA-1000 manual they would share or send a copy of? I would gladly pay for a copy. I am wondering how the phono 12AX7 gain trim pots are to be adjusted? Any help is appreciated.

PD- My preamp transformer is very noisy and I get a constant hum when playing music. Do you know what I could do do to solve it?
Also, the midband is slightly dry for my taste. Have you tried any interconnects that get around this problem? (Im using PHY-HP ics at the moment) |

I don't speak electrical or japanese.....
Does anyone know where I can find an owners manual for the Counterpoint Sa100 and Sa1000?
I don't really feel like spending $150 in 2 owners manual....
I'd rather spend it on records or throwing a party for my friends...

I've got a good schematic and owners manual for the SA-1000 preamp, I'd be willing to send copy for $5 to cover time and cost.
Also considering the possibility of "cloning" the preamp PCB in a smaller size but same exact circuit if anyone is interested in DIY stuff.

I had the owners manual, which was a small a4 sized booklet with green covers, but I don't remember where I put it.
Is this the manual you have?

The owners manual I have is about 16 pages, describes the preamp controls, inputs/outputs, phono cartridge loading,
and basic troubleshooting.
The schematic attachments are 9 pages, fully documented with ALL DC & signal voltages, complete parts list & values, and transformer wiring. Anyone interested in a copy can email me. |
