I am trying to get a compressed high gain tone (think Mesa) from my Mig 100. I modded the schematic to the same specs as a JCM800. I also changed the CF to another gain stage and it still is weak. It sounds buzzy, not tight. Maybe I should mod the power amp as well? Can anyone post some schematics of amps that have been built and are known to sound tight, and only uses two 12AX7's? Thanks alot.
