New filter for SAA7323 - Click HERE for Original Thread
Fin
I was looking at the data sheet of the SAA7323 chip in my Philips CD624. It appears that there are two internal opamps (left and right) in the output section of this chip. I think this is called a 3rd order low-pass filter. The output after D/A conversion (switched capacitor integrator) is available at pins 10 and 44. It passes through a capacitor and resistor network and is fed back into the SAA7323 to the two internal opamps. The output of these opamps is then supplied to the analogue section of the CDP.

Q. Is it possible to take the output after D/A conversion and pass it through some better quality opamps for filtering instead of feeding it back into the SAA7323 chip.

Q. If this is possible, does anyone know what opamps can be used here?

Does anyone know if this output is current or voltage?

If you can help, the data sheet is at SAA7323 datasheet
