boz in new jacket - Click HERE for Original Thread
Hanzwillem
Good day,

I found it a shame that I had a nice BoZ laying around without doing anything. Reason to get busy again. The powersupply is finished. I need to punch holes for the connectors in the amplifier case, so that will be finished next week or something. The amp itself has exactly the same housing.
More pics will follow, also from the inside...

bye for now...

Nice cases, my old BOZ is not so nicely finished.

So I rebuild this BOZ into a balanced version, no pictures yet.

So, the BoZ is finished now. It's now platying instead of the balanced linestage. I like the sound of the linestage better than the sound of the boz, it's more detailed. Maybe because of the Monacor MKP decouple caps. I'd replace them when I feel like it. It could also be supply noise, as I have the pot at the input.
The sopplu wiring is copper, the signal wiring silver.
Volume control is 2x6 position ELMA at the input.
The LED is red because it looks good, I can always try the violet one just as my linestage.

You use the same parts as I do. The Monacor MKP caps are fine, better than a standard elco... :).

I see you've been able to use my ideas on casing :)

Very nice case. I was wondering what kind of transormer you used there?
Hanzwillem
Haha! I really never saw that thread. I just found those cases at Conrad and thought they perfectly fit my boards, and they did.
