| I have a new construction site which will have a poured concrete stage with a front to back distance of approximately twenty feet. I am considering installing a pvc transmission line sub woofer configuration in this floor. Does anyone have suggestions/objections/general help? |

I think a horn loaded design would be far more suitable for a stage, especially an outdoor one.

With the benefit of further thought a T/L design is entirely unsuitable.
Horn loading is the way to go and nearly all domestic designs will be unsuitable.
If its a commercial build you should use an acoustic consultant.
If its not then read up all the information from PA unit manafacturers.
Personally think caternary 20 ft long horns with the right mouth area would be
awesome and have exceptional bandwidth, but who designs the rest of the PA ?

WE WOULD DESIGN THE REST OF THE SYSTEM. WE ALREADY HAVE AN EASE MODEL OF THE SPACE, AND ARE CONSULTING ON THE ACOUSTICAL TREATMENT NECESSARY TO TAME THE RT FROM AROUND 3.2 SEC AT 250HZ. IT'S NOT OFTEN THAT ONE ENCOUNTERS AN OPPORTUNITY TO CONSTRUCT HORNS OF THIS NATURE, AND, THAT IS WHY WE HOPED TO TAP THE EXPERIENCE OF OTHERS WHOVE HAD OCCASION TO IMPLEMENT THIS TYPE OF DESIGN.
