KIA6220H (4-Ch Nakamichi) VS STK4145II (Aiwa)
The STK is far superior in the highs (by spec), and I cannot imagine how a chip designed for car amps can measure up with home audio chip!???? (I have heard worse STKs than the STK4145II)
My uncle is an audio professional. He told me that the KIA6220H is better sounding than the STK. I cannot believe that! I know that my capacity is better than him regarding making "music" but this really is bothering me. He has heard both chips and I haven't! And it will take me months to compare both chips by building and listening.
Anyone dare to convince me that one chip is better than the other? |

if one chips specs are better(s/n ,THD,IMD etc) than the other,then it wins.
assuming you are objective and dont rely on your ears to tell u what sounds best :rolleyes:

u mean high freqs? certain amps have rising distortions at HF ,paricurly bad.
i reccomend an amp book,that i reccomended people in the amplifier forum here,recently.
