Anyone manage to mod a receiver to get a preout? - Click HERE for Original Thread

I have a cheap JVC surround receiver that I use in my bedroom setup. I does not have preouts--I really would like to replace to build a gainclone amp for my system but would like to also be able to enjoy my gainclone feeding my mains for surround sound. I am not an expert in how cheap receivers work--so I am asking if there is a way to be able to get a line level preout from the unit easily?

just use the signal after the volume pot that goes to the amplifier section.

Find where the inputs to the poweramps are. Use those points
