Hello, I'm Ian, mental nurse and sometime dabbler in DIY allsorts, recently seduced by gainclone pages stumbled across while seeking a DIY substitute for the Redhekos I always wanted and now cannot get for love nor money now I could just about afford them. I wish to emulate Peter Daniels pretty amp for me - not his business I hasten to add. I have done many hours perusing but still feel my understanding is hazy so I intend to buy bits listed at decibel dungeon and start there.I would be VERY happy if someone was kind enough to accelerate my launch into this with any thing of a head start. I intend to build mains PS soon but battery will be quicker I surmise so I will look there next but please don't be shy about guiding me! Look forward to many happy communications. I wonder if we could interest the nice people at afterdawn with this for AV seeing as its already been done?

Cheers, Ian.

P.s. If i've done this wrong please forgive me, newbie!

Hi Ian
Welcome to Gainclone-heaven. ;)
As a mental nurse you should know that there is no need to apologise for posting. :clown:

Hi Hugo, thanks for the welcome! I don't suppose you know of a good cheap source of "R"core transformers suitable for gc's do you? Also have you heard of anyone using volume transformers instead of pots / stepped attenuators and results?

Cheers, Ian
