Howdy.
I've been lurking here for about 3 weeks and am thankful for all the great information that has been so helpful in my pursuit of bigger tv.
I won a Sharp QA 1500 on ebay and it arrived today. On my way home from work,I went to my library (I work for the parks dept.)and borrowed a 3M 9080 OHP.
Once home I first set it up with my computer and watched Finding Nemo on the white curtains with my kids. They loved the big picture. Then, when they went to bed,I set it up outside.
I am now watching Pink Floyd at Pompeii in my front yard.Woohoo!!!
I'm using the composite input with a macrovision disabled Apex DVD player.
I now need a taller table to adjust for the trapazoid effect.
For the screen,I'll hang two sheets of white masonite on the wall.
Inside,if I can convince my wife,I plan to hang a silver screen in front of the enterainment center only as needed. |

Me again.I meant to attach this photo first. Here's where I am projecting my image.I measured the picture across the base and it is 102".I'll try to get the diagonal measurement today.
I took a walk down to the ballfields where my house overlooks,(I'm the caretaker at a city park),and I could see the image from across two ballfields. From that distance,it looked great!Kind of like driving by a drive-in theater. |

Hi Renez,
I rarely watch TV, know nothing about projectors but do like Pink Floyd (now and then :D ).
So we have something in common.
Welcome to the forum. ;)
