Hi ,

I just finish installing a second hand satellite antenna .
I have a Grundig 0.7 dB LNB and a 1.4 Meter reflector .

I put the antenna on the top of my house , it is not firmly fixed , it swing a little at wind but i will fix it more good in the next day .

I don't know how to find where to put the LNB and to see if the LNB is functinaly . I also have a Sat Plus receiver with OSD .

How i can find the correct angel and the correct position for the Astra sat ?

I put the antenna today like the other i saw at my neighbour houses , and not work ...

What i have to do ??

Thank's , Mihai.

If your aim is just slightly of at the ground you will miss the satellite by a huge margin in space therefore you have no chance of adjusting it properly from just watching your neighbours antenna.

Use a compas to set the right direction then adjust the height of the dish I think the old astra are 19,2E and the newer Sky is 28E?

If you have a satellite seeker it helps otherwise you can just put the reciever in scan mode or similar and place the tv so you can see the signal quality graph, from the roof and adjust acordingly ( a lot of shouting will be involved if you cant se the tv yourself).
