Can you guys recommend any cheap / easy tweaks for my dual gramophone. i really like it since it was given to me for free and i like to enhance it as much as i can without spending to much of cash.

You can change to better interconnects and jacks, but that's it without going wild. There are those who can rebuild the idler, if needed. I have heard that Marvel Red Mystery Oil is good as a bearing lube for it, but I have no personal experience with any lube options. I use my 1019 when I am up and about, rather than my Linn. I've looked at it, but there aren't a lot of possibilities for improvement that aren't pretty radical.

There is an SME 3009 lying right beside mine.....I'm tempted......not really, but I do think that the arm holds the 1019 back more than anything else..

i have already changed the interconnect to rg62 ones with rca connector with tension fittings. i will trie to get my hands on a ortofon om40 pickup (expensive i think) i will also make a new housing for the whole think using mdf (its current housing isnt that great looking)
