Hello,

It seems I have repeatedly misinformed you all about the base spreading resistance of the BFW16A. I seemed to recall having read in an article about MC amplifiers that it was about 1 ohm, but actually the article only says that it is smaller than or equal to 5 ohms. It was the article:

Ernst H. Nordholt and Ronald M. van Vierzen, Ultra-low-noise preamplifier for moving-coil phono cartridges, Journal of the Audio Engineering Society, volume 28, number 4, April 1980, pp. 219...224.

My apologies for the misinformation,
Marcel van de Gevel

An applaud to Marcel for posting this. I am afraid far too many
people are afraid to admit their own mistakes and rather
keep shut and go on misleading others. Nobody is a fool for
admitting a mistake, but may be considered so if knowing of
an errors and not telling it and eventually someone else
points it out.

This was meant more as a general remark than anything specific
to this case. I am not at all surprised Marcel was honest and
admitted his mistake.
