diyAudio now has a decent seach engine. :D

Cool :cool:

IMHO, the only missing feature in the search engine is to link directly the page where your match is. Try to search for someting that was talked about in the Aleph-X thread, you'll understand the problem :D
AudioFreak
use the 'display results as posts' option and the problem is fixed.

Very nice improvement.
It's almost like googling :clown:
Thanks

Congratulations and thanks to those who made this possible.

This is a great improvement. Now if we can just get people to use it.....

try *431 (to look for tl431, lm431...)->nothing
MTM give no results too, strange

It's looks like wildcards are not operational on the new search page. As for 3 letter searches, I am aware of this and it should be fixed early next week.
AudioFreak
3 character search terms are now accepted. There is also a 'Search this Thread' feature that is at the bottom right-hand corner of the page (should prove helpful in very large threads).

Just for the record... a few rules that will help you get the most out of the search system.

1. Wildcards do not currently work (I'll get them working again in the future)
2. In the top 3 boxes on the search page all terms must be at least 3 characters.
3. In the 'search for exact phrase' box on the search page or in the 'Search this Thread' box at the bottom of each thread, the 1st word you enter must contain at least 3 characters but any additional words can be of any length. Both of the above inputs search for an exact phrase.
