The value of C1 and C2 in Zen V5 is 47uF, and one friend of mine question the value that " will these high value limit the low frequency?" "Can I instead with film type capacitors with 4.7uF?"
I can't answer these question!
Please help me and any comments will be welcome!
Thanks! |

According to the formula Xc=1/(2*pi*f*C) the frequency depending resistance of C1 and C2 gets lower with higher capacitance value.
That´s why most input capacitors of audio amps have relatively high value : To pass low frequencies with greater amplitude.
But IMO 47uF is plenty and you should get away with 4.7uF.

| 4.7 uF will work, but you will see a rolloff around 5 Hz or so. |

Thanks Joensd and Nelson Pass!
But I still feel confused about the reply of NP! If we will see a rolloff about 5 Hz, it seem OK! No one can here the quite low sound, right!
Is there any mistake?   |
