Correct XLR connections? - Click HERE for Original Thread

I'm putting together my Aleph 5 and I'm wondering what the correct connections are for the XLR connector. The connector (as seen in the picture below) has a tab connected to the frame of the connector and pins 1,2, and 3. Traditionally, which pin does +, -, and G go to? For added clarity I've included the power supply diagram I'm using.

In this pic, you can see that pin 2 is hot (+), pin 3 is cold (-), and pin 1 is ground.

Tim is quite right. That is the most commonly used connection format, and the industry standard for balanced connection.
