Hey all, new guy here - I've been searching for help with my CD deck and someone pointed me over here.
I have the Pioneer Premier DEH-P720. It came in the car when I bought it.
The problem I am having would first occur three times
When the stereo first got power
every 45 mins - 1 hour (estimated)
when the stereo lost power
The problem is an annoying beeping that runs a few times, in sets of 4 or 5, that I think is related to the DFS Alarm+.
I read the manual for this stereo and turned off all DFS alarm functions, as well as the internal speaker. This elimated the beeping when the stereo loses power (turns out its a "remove the face plate" reminder).
However I still get this beeping when I start the car, and every X amount of minutes.
Does anyone know what this is and how I can remove it completly. It's kind of annoying when you are crusing across town and the stereo starts beeping.
