Antex soldering iron? - Click HERE for Original Thread
Tor M
Hi:)
I really need to get a new solderin iron and have been looking at some irons from Antex. The price is right, and money is a limiting factor.

Have anyone tried soldering irons from Antex and if so, what are your experiences?

Thanks

Tor Martin:)

I use a cheap antex iron (20 W I think). I got 3 different tips for it, and they work exelent. One thing: the tip get stuck to the iron if not removed an re-inserted priodicly. I once destroyed an iron trying to remove the tip.

IME, an Antex is one of the better economy-grade soldering irons that you can buy.

Hi!

Thanks for answering.
A local store sells an 50 w iron with adjusteble temperature from 200-450 degree for about 67 $. Thats alot cheaper than a solder station.:)

It`s the same as this one:

Maybe I`ll go for it.

Thanks
