Getting Smaller - Click HERE for Original Thread

Well, I decided to make up my driver testing amp, an LM3875 into a proper enclosure, rather than just having it mounted on a bit of board. It has a 50VA 18-0-18 traffo, and is non reduced.

It measures 12cm by 7.5cm by 4.5cm, I could have made it smaller, but I couldn't be bothered :)

Anyone made any smaller self contained monoblocks out there?

A use of a wallwart transformer would make it alot smaller (well, what you'd see would be smaller). Regardless of what you think of wallwarts it would be smaller (I didn't say it would sound better...)

Hi, pinkmouse.
Are those speaker terminals isolated from the box?

I made a VERY small GC too.
No pics yet, soon I'll post it.
It's in a square box of around 10x10x10cm.
With PSU inside.
Stereo.
And a volume pot.

here is an idea. a lot of new contruction is cat5-wired. so if you put a gainclone into a wallwart and use power-over-ethernet, you can pretty much place speakers whereever you want!

and one can probably use cat5 connectors/wires for low-to-medium power applications.
