One of my roommates is going to Moskva next week.
I asked him if he could buy some tubes to me if he found a place, probably he won't find a place where he can buy tubes.
So to do the task a bit simpler for him I'm trying to find a shop in moskva that is easy to find and where he could buy me some sweet tubes.
So do anyone of you know a place in Moskva where tubes are available? |

there's little radio & electronics shops throughout russia, a lot of them carry tubes.
have him look in a phonebook when he gets there...
generally they dont sell the americanized tubes, mostly just old-stock russian models. although some will sell a few of the new-production tubes, but they are more for export than they are for domestic market. |

If your roommate can speak Russian you could post a note at:

This is a forum for Russian valve radio enthusiasts, most of the posts are in Russian although there is the occasional English posting, but these people should know who sells Russian tubes in Moscow if anyone does.
This forum is run by the Red Star vintage virtual museum of Soviet radios, at:

They also might be able to suggest suitable sellers. |

Hi,
Any market in Moscow will very likely also offer "surplus" valves.
Be ware that the valves released to the local market are usually of lesser quality than the export items.
Cheers and happy shopping,;) |
