| has anyone had the chance to take a peak inside both of these? i have a Spectra C board coming without LCD and a Spectra coming (hopefully working). i know that the Spectra only has 4096 (?) colors, and that the "C" model is better. does anyone know if they share the same LCD? would be nice to just do a quick swap. i know EarthLCD has the replacement LCD for the "C", but i havent been able to get a cost from them. thanks |

| nope, i won the nView Spectra for $34 yesturday and won the Spectra C board for $10 a couple days ago. why, did you bid on one too? |

| should be getting your board friday and the Spectra panel tues-wed. now just gotta start lookin at OHP. saw a couple on ebay that were portable, like they didnt use a bulb or something. anybody know anything about these and what they use for light? would be nice to have a small setup that is semi portable..... thanks |

| you cant use a portable OHP as the light is in the head of the OHP. They use a mirror beneath the fresnel to reflect the light through the transparency and up to the projection lens. There is not enough light for panels to work and the light will be passing through the panel twice, not very good for brightness! |

| ok, now i have my two panels (spectra c and spectra). opened em both up, and both share an identical lcd plug on the boards. however, the lcd side of the cable is different. anyone know the pinouts to these boards? or even if these two lcd's are interchangable: spectra is LQ10P011 and the spectra c is LQ9P011. the #s are only one off and both boards do have the same connector. the only reason why i ask is because the lcd on the spectra c is bad and i would like to "upgrade the spectra to the spectra c board. ok. i think i'm done. thanks:) |

| I could be wrong, but i think the specs have to do with the actual lcd not the driver, so if you do get the spectra c board to work with the spectra lcd it will be less colors. But i could and probably am wrong... |

| well, the reason why i ask is because i've been told that nView used the same lcd on multiple panels. and i'm hoping that these two boards are compatable.... |
