Why you shouldn't buy a projection panel - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hey guys check out what I just scored:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...egory=3698&rd=1

No stand AND dead backlight. Perfect match!

Its 300:1 Contrast and 25ms response. Better than the 1545v :)
Plus its a Vewsonic, so it will be easy to take apart.

Why people are still buying projection panels is beyond me...

It is kind of too much for me though. anything like that should be lower than $100 IMO.

a couple days back, a guy was selling a 14" viewsonic VP140 with burn-out backlight for $60 BIN. I didn't BIN because the seller didn't reply my email inquires. I lost to another bidder at $51 and I kept kicking my aass for not winning it :( it's 14", perfect for my OHP, cheap, and I didn't win it !!! :bawling:

18wheeler, if I am going to get relatively the same outcome for $130 as a person that spent $250, then why should I have to spend less than $100 for it to be considered a good deal?

Oh well the VP140 doesn't have as good specs as my LCD, so I still feel like I got a good deal :)

yours will be much better than any of those panels. I am sure of it. Remember there was a thread about being cheap? I'd say I am proud of being cheap and I am constantly searching for cheaper deals ;)
