Has anyone looked at the power meter over at http://www.snippets.org/filters/wattmeter.htm ?

It looks interesting, and may be somewhat useful for testing stuff.

Thanks,
Paul

well looks simple enough to implement

for $5 you can get the chip from digikey (canadian that is!) and another $5 for led's ..
so $10 all in all to make it .. maybe i'll try it too! ;)

although i would love to find out if it works or not as well

Testing ... what stuff? Seems good for RMS wattage but if not true RMS? I dont think it will be good for testing you wall outlet (how much your computer consumes) except for things with cos fi of 1 (that is resistive)
Please correct me if Im wrong!
But Ive used this IC for some of my projects and its OK.

Jens,
no problem, just send me Your email adress.
As I have sent it to another member already it`s ready for "emailing".
The scans are rather big (even already downscaled in resolution) - can You receive 4MB without problems (but could send it in parts also)?
