stage glass question - Click HERE for Original Thread

I am about to finish my projector and i want to know if there would be any benefit of using the stage glass of the ohp i took apart between fresnel and panel.Will it make any diference?At the moment there is a 1 cm space between lcd and fresnel,i can rise the panel a bit to place the stage glass but is it nesessery?

depending on your light source... the only thing the stage would do is protect the lcd from heat.

i guess i will see how much light is wasted and how cooler the lcd is with the stage!I also bought a glass 30cm x 30cm that does not let IR AND SOME UV pass through,they call it stopsoll but the thing is that it is a bit dark and i think it will waste a lot light!when you look at it from a distance it looks like a mirror.I do not know if i did well and bought this glass,anyway it costed me 5 euro.Still not able to find low-e glass!:confused:
