You would need something with a DVI to use it.
Keep in mind that the input plug on the HS10 is a DVI-D (if I remember properly), and you will need to have something that outputs digitally to use it (the input connector is missing the analog-in pins).
Otherwise it's component/s-video time. |

| have u heard of using a scart connector, and how would that hold up? same or worse then dvi? or is DVI the the best connection for video? |

| DVI would be than SCART yes, although it's going to be harder getting a DVI out on a stand-alone device that is suitable for the HS10. |

The Sony VPL-HS10 is a nice TFT WXGA projector with a 700:1 contrast ratio and and 800-1200 ansi lumens brightness in cinema and normal mode respectively.
Fairly quiet, and reasonable value for money (AU$6000 with a screen around here). In traditional Sony style they have a memory stick port, and you have to spend more money to get the DVI and RGBHV cables which plug into the little multi-connector on the back. You can actually spend more money to get a little break out box that plugs into the unit with a large lead which has every connector known to man on it.
Very good black levels. I can't imagine that a AU$25,000 Yamaha DLP projector would be four-times better. |
