| I have a Parasound Amp HCA-2205AT and during a movie the amp would go in to "Standby" then back to normal. I also notice that one side of the amp gets hotter than the other. Anyone know anything about this. I was told that it might be a relay going bad, that's causing it to go into "standby". |

| No it not over heating. One side is warmer than the other. |

| It is probably overheating on one side. It happened to me with my present power amp, an HCA2500. I had to readjust the bias. You might talk to Tony at Parasound. |

| Where is the relay located? Is it in the back in front of the back channel card on the bottom underneath the controller card? Does anyone know? |

| A temporary fix can be a small fan directed on the hotter heat sink. If the problem goes away, then you know that it is bias setting. A square 'whisper fan' will do. |

| But the only thing is, it comes on for a few minutes then goes into standby and stays. |

| I would first try the fan, BUT you might have to have it in for service. Please don't listen to outsiders to this design on this subject. It will only confuse you and potentially break the unit. Please contact Parasound for the closest warranty station in your area. |

| Well the service tech said the problem is with the power supply?? Any one know what that entitles? He wasn't to specific. And he hasn't given me a cost to repair the amp. |
