Help! New Yaoin MC-100B with intermittent crackling noise from speakers - Click HERE for Original Thread
dynaudio_tube
Hi everyone.

I just bought a MC-100B from the Bay about 2 weeks ago. It has been great until yesterday when I noticed that there has been intermittent crackling noise coming from both L and R speakers. The noise varies with volume level (gets louder if I turn up the volume) and lasts up to 2 seconds. Sometimes there is one every 5 mins but can be every 5 seconds. The noise happens regardless whether a source is connected. I've tried disconnecting all cd/dvd players etc. It happens in both UL and Triode modes. I've tried securing the tubes again but no luck.

Could someone help please. Thanks. This thing weighs 30KG! so shipping it back to China is my last resort :(

Just to clarify a bit more (since I can't edit my post). The noise is like a pop/fabric tearing sound.

If it's tube problems I'll upgrade the stock tubes. If amp problem then I'm kinda stuffed.

Also, is there a place that sell tubes in Melbourne?
