Dual CS510 Running WAY too fast - sometimes - Click HERE for Original Thread
jaguarxke
Hi Everyone,

I have an old dual CS510 turntable that normally runs well, but every now and then runs WAY too fast. I never play 45's so I have noticed this on 33 1/3 RPM. When this happens, I can turn off the turntable and there is a very good chance it will run properly for the next several times I use it.

Then, out of the blue, it will run fast again. When it runs fast, I mean very fast - probably in the ballpark of twice as fast as it is supposed to. I'm reasonably certain it is running faster than 45 RPM (while being set at 33 1/3.)

Any ideas what would cause this condition?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
