Here's the scoop. I need a preamp to drive a Zen V9 amp. Perhaps a boz?
I have a pair of Quicksilver KT88 monoblock tube amps using a pair of 5AR4's, one pair of KT88's and a 12AX7 and 12AU7. These were converted 8417's to KT88's with separate bias taps for each output tubes, and an ultra linear/triode switch. Both amps bias and run great. Not sure about the mods as I didn't do them but I can email pics.
