Just wondering if anyone completed a cab for these? I'm really curious if SEAS managed to move things for FRs considering all the R&D they may have in comparison with smaller manufactorers.

I've been working with OB's for these, and it looks like the high
excursion of these drivers will make them a prime candidate as
a FR driver which can deliver some bottom end in an OB without
help from a woofer. The next step is to try a larger baffle.

How big a baffle do you have them in now, Nelson?

2.1mm peak one way travel is "high excursion" ?

A thought occurred, and that is, at what price do certain items cease to be mainstream DIY objects.

I may be way off the mark but I've long held the suspicion that Lowther, AER, and now Feastrex are out of reach of the average DIYer. Could it be that value for money has kept the DIY bunch from the F8 as well??

I suspect that's pretty much the case -they aren't cheap, so the user-base is much smaller than for, say, the dominant Fostex et al units. Really, they have to be counted with those drivers on the next rungs up on the price-scale -Lowther, AER, Feastrex etc.
