Hello,
A future project I will do when I have a place to put them later this year is to build an open baffle full range to cover the 150Hz and up with stereo TL subs down low. I have read the Budget is the key, but good sound mandatory.
The bass drivers are planned to be the CSS SDX7 in a TL tube 10' long.

The drivers for the FR I was looking at are the CSS FR125SR, Jordan JX92S, or the Fostex FE126. I was leaning toward the CSS FR125SR at $70ea. all because I have heard good things about them and they should mate well with the subs.

I would also stretch the budget up to $250 each for FR drivers. The Fostex F120A with Alnico magnet is interesting, but I cannot find any opinions of it.
That said, I am open to suggestions on the drivers and what FirstWatt amps would lend well to driving them. The only way I am going to get the sound I want at a low budget is to build them myself(with a little help).
Thanks again for all the help. |

| Audio Nirvana drivers sold by Common Sense Audio are also worth checking out. Nelson Pass himself recently announced that he is going to put some Audio Nirvana drivers in an open baffle design. |
