Studio monitors w/ sub - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi,

I am interested in building my own studio monitors, to be used WITH a sub. Since they will be coupled with a sub, I only need the monitors themselves to go down to around 90-120hz. They must be no bigger than the typical 6" two way studio monitor and must be super accurate. I produce dance music and the occasional rock recording, so one trick ponies won't really fit the bill.

Does this sound like a good time to use full range woofers? Can anyone recommend any plans?

I already have a pair of Event TR6 monitors. I am hoping this new system will out-perform these at a very affordable price (eg. no more than $400US for the monitors).

A Fostex FX120 or FE127E can likely come in at the 90-120Hz range using a sealed enclosure.
