Another Gainclone grounding problem - follow up question - Click HERE for Original Thread
MikeFarad
Hello,
One more quick question. If you have viewed my recent thread, you know my project is a 2nd order S-K x-over, the high section feeding Gainclones, the low section, at least for now, a Carver M400? (the famous, or infamous, cube). The grounding on the GC - xover is, xover PG to case through 100ohm R in series with 100nf cap, then the case to earth gnd (green wire in 3 conductor cord). The signal gnds go to the GC SG. Now I don't know what gnding scheme is used in the Carver amp (2 prong plug). So my question is, should the shield on the interconnects between the low xover (GC SG) and the Carver amp be connected at both ends, one end (GC??), or something else?
TIA
AndrewT
the signal has to flow and return.

Of course. I was thinking of a 2 conductor shielded cable. Sorry about that. In the future I'll make sure I think twice before posting.
