I have two AD 12100/N4 12" broadband speakers that I'm getting rid of. (At least it really looks like /N4, but it seems N4 doesn't exist so they might be /M4)
However my friend says he always wanted some "throw-away" PA speakers just for fun, for music in his back yard etc. I thought I'd look into the possibilities. We have some left-over particle board, some 3- or 5-ply construction grade 12 mm plywood (knots and all) and some 11 mm OSB.
What would be the best PA application for 2 x AD12100s ? I thought about putting them into 2 stepped RLH's just to see what would happen. But I don't know anything about PA or speakers so I'm asking you guys first!
I guess we're aiming for is max outdoors 'party power' * with a simple construction. If possible avoiding a separate sub bass. The compromises we'd rather make are:
Large weight
Big size
Compromised sound quality, especially in the mids and highs
Less simple construction
* can sound pretty bad, but not like total ****, but generally more bass = better |
