Hello,
I'm a probie in this this world of diy.
I just finish to made my zen v4 (Thank you Mr Pass...) and it works very well.
However I want to set volume without made boz or other preamp today. So in waiting, I want to add a 50k alps pot between source and Vin of the amp. Could you think it is a good idea? that no detoriorate sound ( I think about feedback?

The input impedance of the F4 is quite high, but there is some
capacitance to that. Assuming a low impedance source, a 50K
pot will have a maximum of 12.5K (midway position) source impedance
as seen by the input of the F4. That's OK, although my preference
would be for a 25 K pot if possible. |
