This is a picture of the back of my Dual H1010V portable record player:
The lower socket is directly connected to the crystal and to the internal valve amp. It looks like the socket is a switching one. I am looking for the connector that fits the socket but cannot find it, not even a picture of it.
Does anybody have a clue where to find/order one?
The name of the socket mayby? |

| It's a DIN socket, (jack) although it is a very odd type, possibly proprietary to Dual. Usually stereo din jacks had 3 or 5 pins. This one appears to be some sort of mono switched type. |

I forget what these are called too, but Planet10 is your man, he sent me some a few years back. |

The top one is a standard 2-pin speaker plug.
The other (3 pin?) one is a bit more unusual. off the top i can't remember what the symbol means -- usually it falls out from context.

The lower socket is indeed an unusual DIN configuration. Philips also used this type from time to time, but you'd be hard pressed to find a plug these days.
I'd suggest modifying a standard 3-pin DIN plug by, for example, moulding epoxy putty over the middle pin to form the switch actuator. |
