Just One Sub For 2 Channel? - Click HERE for Original Thread
JimOfOakCreek
I use one sub for 2 channel stereo music. I've been reading some posts that claim 2 subs are necessary in a 2 channel music system. Any thoughts on this?

Your ears are too close together to be able to distinguish directionality below about 150Hz, so one subwoofer is quite enough (if its a true sub-woofer, and not just a 'normal' woofer in a cheap setup where the 'main' speakers are too crappy to have a reasonable frequency response).

I use four subs (playing the same mono signal) to cancel room modes. The sound is alot better this way. Stereo below around 100-200hz is not necessary, since the wavelengths are so big, that they wont propagate like outside in a room.

JimOfOakCreek if u want more than one. i think that u should pay your money for increase watt amp and looking for the best sub driver for deep bass more than old sub.
