Im building a pair of Peerless (HDS) MTM 2.5 ways and would like to complement them with a good sub-W
Has anyone got a suggestion for the amp and driver.
Im thinking a medium sized cabinet/box I dont need a high excursion high power handling driver. Peerless? with a Dayton amp?
My main amp is an integrated Rotel 4 way and the room is 7m x 4.5m. Mostly music in the pop/rock with occational classics.
Cheers

If you're going the peerless route you can check out this design, http://www.northcreekmusic.com/Thunder/ThunderInfo.htm and this one if you want something slightly smaller, http://www.vikash.info/audio/xls10/

I haven't built it or heard it, but i've not heard any bad things from anyone who has:)

You can check out pro amps as well, I just picked up 2 Crown XLS402b's for $175 each used. Gives me 1100+Watts bridged into 4 ohms...Granted you don't need that much power, but it's nice to have for future possibilites.... Hypex amps would work well too I think, i'm using a pair of ucd-400's to power a sealed tc-sounds 12" right now and they work great.
