Has anyone heard any news about this site? Is it gone for good? It had a different flavor form diyAudio/Full Range. I kind of miss it.

I've been wondering the same. Looks like James's main Single Driver Site has bitten the dust too, which is a real shame.
Godzilla
I miss it too. Apparently it was hacked.
Bob Brines
Hacked yes. My concern is that James may have given up. He was operating the site on a shoestring.

Not good. :( I hope whoever is responsible suffers for it. That site was a really good introduction for people into DIY audio. Fingers crossed James has the heart to keep going.

i miss it too.. hope the problem can be solved ?

That really sucks. I've been checking it every few days in hopes that it was just down for upgrades. Hopefully the info has not been lost.

but as many here miss it (and so many more have used the Single driver website), could it be hosted alongside diyaudio.com? As a community service? the cost associated compared to this forum must be minuscule...

or perhaps we (the diyaudio.com community) could help out if resources are the answer. I'm not rich, but am sure I could muster something to help out or try to scare up some support from Hemp acoustics, and Grant Fidelity... Solen...whoever could benefit financially from it being continued.

The Horn Shop, Omega, etc, as well? A great resource and a shame to lose if that's the case.

just a thought.

And quite a good one, providing it retained its independence, which is what made it unique.

BTW Stew -is that a PP or a PPK, and should we start getting afraid? ;)

That's a big gun to compensate for his little gun. :D

Tag, you're it.

custom Walther PPK....one shot less, hammerless action, stealth black.

not a Sig Sauer but a cool little (fictional) gun anyway. I live in Canada, so no one should be concerned ('cause essentially NO ONE can get a Firearms Acquisition Certificate, let alone a handgun permit)

Cal: bang...whizzzzzzz.... it ricocheted off the big toe on your right foot (1100ish kms is a helluva shot....;) ).

So do any think a "resurrection" of the single driver website could be arranged with James still running it?

Along with a warning to scan your computer for malware:

P.S. If you're exhausted by Windows and malware, you might want to put Linux on a spare machine to check out:

Great news! :)
Nanook
so if James does need some help could this still be arranged?

I'm not a web guy, but I'd still be willing to try to garner perhaps some financial support ...
