Nuber Needing Retrofit Advice: Velodyne VA-1250 Cabinet - Click HERE for Original Thread
Another Beakman
Greetings, all.
I have a Velodyne VX-1250x sub (12" driver, 15" PR, about 2.5 Cu. Ft.) that, thanks to lightning, is now a passive unit driven by an external amp. I use a paradigm passive crossover with an Outlaw Audio 2200 monoblock amp and to put it mildly, It just doesn't sound good.
I am considering a retrofit using other driver / PR manufacturers and either a digital or analog Bheringer crossover. I would like to get clear and low sound, as in organ music or electronic music, suplementing a pair of main speakers that go down to 35 Hz just fine.
Any advice to start on this box or would I be wasting time and money trying to get the best out of the cabinet?
More details of me and my equipment to follow during the week.
Thanks.
