I have a bust Origin Live MK 6 Turntable power supply (rectifier Short Circuited)
First, I need to replace the 3 Pin & 8 Pin voltage regs. However, the chip numbers have been, as per OL design, removed. Could anyone please give the said 3 pin & 8 pin chip numbers.
If anyone kindly forward details of Advance to Ultra I would be most grateful. |

Sorry, no help I can give but it always gives me a warm cozy feeling (not) when the parts and design used ar so state of the art and competitively priced that they must be masked so that "charlatans" can not clone it....
IMO, Funks K Drive is more advanced and ultra and no numbers rubbed off... |

| If there's a potential divider with the upper resistor 240 Ohms and the centre tap going to one leg of the regulator it's almost certainly a 317. Why not post a photograph? |

Melos does this with quite a bit of their gear, this makes me equate the buying of their gear, used, as about as tasteful and as happy a thought as a steaming pile of dog poo. If I can't fix it when it goes wrong, then it is a unmitigated piece of poo.
Someone told me to buy a item from them (OL) , it was a TT power supply for running on my Linn LP12. If this is the case, I will have nothing to do with their products. Thanks for the warning.
This is called stranding your supporters..high and dry. This is an incredibly sort sighted way to do business. If the circuits were properly published and taken care of, after a given warranty period had passed,..sure... not as bad. But still a very clear alarm bell, in that one, about attitudes from a given company.
Melos, for example, is gone..and many people are stranded with unfixable gear. All information on the scrubbed parts is gone. Not in all cases, but enough to find really dirt cheap pricing on some of their stuff, due to fear of loss of 'operational' ability.

What makes you think that?
All of these motor supplies use armature current compensation,
there's nothing new in that and there is not much opportunity for
variation / originality there.
BTW, Funk applied for a patent on K-Drive, but I recently
learned that the patent has been withdrawn or refused. |
