Apogee Duet audio interface - which DAC/ADC? - Click HERE for Original Thread

The Apogee Duet caught my interest and it seems to be very good but since I'm a curious guy, which ADC/DAC does it use? I have been googling around without finding anything.

What about the looks? Nice looking

Having just cut up the stupid cable loom (weighs perahps 2 kg!) on my Lynx aes16, I would not buy anything that uses connectors gallore; it is very difficult to solder into the small multipin connectors.

If it is Apogee, then expect commercial adcs, dacs and parts, not necessarilly top ones.

If you don't need potability, looks at the ua2192, capacitorless , no opamps for I/V and Class A discrete input/output

The codec is CS4272, whispered someone in my ear. Quite good, although not top of the line.
