Hey, im tryna get a decent sound from my soundlab turntable. However the cartridge picks up really bad hum from the power transformer within the turntable. Whats the best way to shield the tranny? Or is the best way to remove it and have a self contained unit with the output wires extended into the deck?

Are you using soundlab belt-drive turntables? Have you opened them up and taken a look inside? If you have and can get a picture on here then that would be great.
