The stock head unit of my Ford Escape doesn't have any aux inputs, but after some disassembly I found two solder points marked LOUT and ROUT. I'm assuming that these are the left and right outputs for the DAC. What I want to do is solder two wires to somewhere on those 2 traces to feed a line-level signal from my MP3 player directly to the amp built into the head unit.
The problem is I don't know where I would solder the wires. I would just solder at the solder points, but they are after two resistors of 0.82K. Annoyingly, I can't find the datasheet of the DAC so I don't know why these resistors are there.
So my question is, should I solder at the points or on the DAC side of the resistors?
Also, maybe somebody would have more luck in finding the datasheet,I think it's a NEC D63802AGF or 0246K3(515). The part in brackets I'm not too sure of, it's hard to read. |
