Case.
Actually it´s the top 21cm from an very bad old floorstanding 2-way. Made from 12mm board! Arghh!!
Well, it saved some hours in the workshop and will be good enough for the proof-of-concept.

A "long nut" is placed in the middle of the VC and glued in with lots of hot-glue. with the inverted centerdome the hole thing becomes a lot more solid.
For a quick test i bolted on a M10 nut with a M8 bolt.
