I'll explain my current setup, and ask if theres a better way.
I have a Grand Caravan with a Kenwood kdc-mp522 HU.
2- 6x9's in the dash connected to a 400W Profile amp with a 6" sub and a 10" sub bridged.
2- 6x9's in the doors powered by another Profile 400W amp
Is there a better way to hookup the subs?
Do I need a crossover? |

| I would recommend you have a sub, or matched subs, on their own amp with a low pass crossover. Crossover can be in HU , amp, or external. With 6x9 you may or may not need a HP crossover, they may be able to run full range unlike smaller speakers. I would HP them anyway just low at 50Hz or something, because it saves amp power. Different subs really should not run same frequencies, different in size or enclosure. Sometimes it will work but often they can cancel each other out at certain frequencies. |

ok, thanks for the advice. I did remove the smaller sub and left the 10" one bridged. It seems to sound better.

| You could run a crossover, just watch the cheap ones they can put noise in the system. Four 6x9 can be a great setup with a sub. |
