Hi,

Very wise words...must have.

Jam, I'll try to translate this for you:

AS GE OOIT

Ik heb alle liedjes opgespaard vur ooit.
Ge weet mer nooit.

M'n wiskeyglass is halfvol
Mer ooit dan stop ik helemoal, ooit.

As ge ooit.

M'm achterdeur is nie op slot
umda ik 'm openloat vur ooit.

As ge ooit.

IF YOU EVER...

I saved all these little songs for ever...
You never know...

My glass of whiskey is half full...
But, one day, I'll stop completely, one day...

If ever...

My backdoor's never locked, ever...
Since I leave it open to for "ever".

Cheers,;)

It is bedtime for me, too much time on my hands...

No Steve, this guy is only going to live once...he'll sleep in another live.

Sweet dreams,;)

so...the only requirement for this preamp so far is that it has a Dutch to English converter at its input.

Can that be done with tubes?
ststone
Easy use a DE (Douwe Egberts or Dutch English) Filter and your done>
You can buy them at the Publix

Strikes me that the essentials of Dutch are easily learnt for English speakers. I can see that this phrase could be very useful. How do I add the word "only?"
fdegrove
Hi,

How do I add the word "only?"

Only: enkel, slechts...depending on context.

Both languages are related.

The x-over from Anglo-Saxon to Roman lingo is a tad more complicated though.

Digame que piensa usted senior de esto projeto. ;)

Being italian I always thought that spanish and portugese sounded like italian dialects. Now that I know english, dutch sounds like a dialect of english ;) I can almost understand it.

Although I am quite happy about how it' s going, is any tube pre-amp ever going to poop-out of this thread?

Hell, no.

It will always be a linguistic matter....hang in there you impatient individual.

Be careful, you may get Bushed.;)

Frank,
'che stai facendo'? you newbie! That could be used, for example, by your girlfriend seeing you wire a...tube preamp...to ask: what are you doing? Implying you should stop tinkering with your toys and go tinker with hers...

that's a very common mistake, tons of people tell me that.

"come va" o "come andiamo" should be used instead.

How about a buffer using a 6AS7G. Low plate voltage requirements and plenty of current. They look cool also. I've heard that those transformers in the wallmount volume controls work well as a attenuator also. Just a couple of ideas.

Frank and others,

Que esta pasando seniores? Gaan we nu verder in het Spaans, Portuges, of wellicht in Papiamentu?
