I wonder if any of you have run across this product but it looks pretty awesome for ribbon builders.
These linear motor magnet tracks come in 42" and 22.8" lengths.

I'm pretty sure the polarity of the magnets alternates - N on the left, N on right, N on left etc.
This isn't what you want for a ribbon. |
